Key Highlights

  • Flipkart has partnered with Netflix to offer a mobile streaming subscription for eligible loyalty members.
  • Customers who meet monthly order requirements will get a 30-day Netflix Mobile plan.
  • The tie-up comes as India’s e-commerce market grows increasingly competitive, with both companies looking to drive repeat purchases.

Walmart-owned Flipkart has teamed with Netflix to offer mobile streaming subscriptions for free each month as a reward to eligible customers who make select purchases through its loyalty programme, called Flipkart Plus.

This move is part and parcel of how India’s e-commerce companies are looking at increasingly using loyalty programmes to push repeat purchases with competition in online retail and quick commerce heating up.

How the Offer Works

Competition and IPO Plans

Through Flipkart Minutes, the company has entered into groceries and rapid delivery rivaling both Amazon in e-commerce and Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart & BigBasket in QCommerce.

This year, Flipkart moved its holding company from Singapore to India in preparation for a public listing on Indian stock exchanges. The company is eying a Mumbai IPO before March 2027, but the offering size and valuation have not yet been determined.
