Focus on Spatial Intelligence

World Labs is developing an artificial intelligence model that will be able to cognise and create three-dimensional environments. This field, which is termed as spatial intelligence, seeks to assist the machines in perceiving the physical space as opposed to text or flat images.

The initial model launched by the company is Marble in late 2025. According to the company, marble can build detailed 3D worlds by having text, image, or video prompts. Reuters reported that other AI groups are also investigating similar models of the world, such as Google DeepMind.

Previous Funding and Background

Prior to this most recent round, World Labs had previously raised 230 million dollars in September 2024 to start the company and initiate a series of development of its spatial AI models, according to Reuters. The early funding went to support first product development and research.

The new investment of $1 billion ranks World Labs as one of the bigger fundraising activities in the field of artificial intelligence, that is, exploring modeling of the three dimensional world. The company failed to reveal more financial information and also failed to act on the request of Reuters to respond to their request further.
