Cheap Jetstar Flights Just Got Cheaper

Huge Discounts Ahead

In the aftermath of Ex-Cyclone Alfred, Jetstar has announced a limited-time airfare sale, offering heavily discounted flights to key Queensland destinations. The sale, launched in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland, includes over 14,000 seats on select domestic routes.

One-way fares are starting as low as $54. The promotion will run for 72 hours from midday Friday, March 21, to midnight Monday, March 24. Destinations covered in the sale include Brisbane, Mackay, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast.

Destinations to be included

Discounted fares included travel from Newcastle to the Gold Coast, while flights from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast are available for $57. Travelers departing from Melbourne (Tullamarine) can reach Cairns for as low as $123 or Hamilton Island for $124.

These heavily discounted flights come just ahead of the Easter holiday as an attempt to bolster Queensland tourism Qantas and Virgin are also set to offer similar promos. Last week, state authorities announced a six million dollar rescue package to offset a potential wipeout due to ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Tourism officials in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Brisbane areas estimate losses exceeding $300 million following the impact of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

An Affordable Easter Getaway

Tourism and Evens Queensland’s Ollie Philpot stated,

“It’s terrific to be partnering with Jetstar reinforcing the message that Queensland is open for business.”

Philpot expects these heavily discounted flights to provide families with an affordable way to visit Queensland during the Easter holiday. Businesses in the area have faced a challenging start to the year, but these Jetstar fares support a faster recovery. Queensland offers a vast array of must-visit attractions, events, and experiences that highlight the uniqueness of each region. With so many options available, Jetstar has made it even easier for travelers to book their next trip.
