Bombing Kills 104 But Israel Insists Peace Remains

Israeli warplanes bombed Gaza on Tuesday evening and 104 people were killed. Gazan doctors reported that 46 children and 20 women were killed. Israel announced on Wednesday that it would continue to abide by the peace agreement despite the bombing. The two sides blamed one another for violating the agreement first. Israel claimed it struck Gaza because it killed one Israeli soldier. So the military targeted Hamas members, weapons storage locations and underground tunnels.

They’re going to continue observing the ceasefire, they explained, but they’ll retaliate if someone attacks them. Israel named five Hamas members it targeted, including those it claims participated in the October 7, 2023 attack that started this entire war.

Trump Declares Israel Did the Right Thing

President Trump was aboard his plane speaking with journalists when he announced that the ceasefire was okay. “They killed an Israeli soldier, so the Israelis struck back and they should have struck back,” Trump stated. Trump believes Israel did the right thing in responding. Trump has stated that Hamas must behave and nothing will destroy the peace agreement.

Qatar’s leader said he was seriously disappointed in all this. Qatar has attempted to get both factions to end the fighting, cooperating with Egypt and America. Qatar’s leader said that Hamas informed them that they’re prepared to no longer be in control of Gaza. They’ve been in control since 2007. Now Qatar wishes Hamas would agree to relinquish its weapons.

Families Terrified in Their Tents

Those trapped in Gaza are genuinely terrified that the conflict will resume. Israel reported that Hamas militants assaulted their soldiers who were positioned where they were to be in accordance with the peace treaty. Hamas replied, No, we did not do it, and we are still holding up our part of the bargain regarding the ceasefire which was initiated on October 10. When they negotiated the agreement, Hamas returned to all those who survived. Israel released almost 2,000 Palestinian detainees. Israeli soldiers also retreated and ceased firing at Gaza.

The main issue at hand now is recovering the bodies of individuals who perished. Hamas agreed to return the bodies but it requires time to locate where they are all at. Israel claims that Hamas is aware of where most of them are. This dispute has turned into a mess. Israel’s leader Netanyahu declared that Hamas used a dirty trick on Monday.

He explained that they dug up some remains in the ground and later appeared to just find them. The military released footage of three men placing a white bag on the ground and covering it. Hamas has yet to comment in response to this allegation.
