Breaking: Shooter Kills Two People at ICE Facility in Dallas

Breaking news from Dallas, a shooter with a rifle killed two people and wounded another at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement office on Wednesday morning before killing himself. The gunman fired shots from a nearby apartment building roof at the ICE facility, hitting people who were being held there. Latest news reports indicate the FBI is treating this as a targeted attack against the immigration agency.

Authorities are saying that the shots were fired randomly at the IC building, including a van with the victims. Two people died at the scene, and another person was taken to the hospital in a very serious condition. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that no ICE agents were hurt in the shooting, with people being held at the facility among those who were shot.

Shooter Left Anti-ICE Messages on Bullets

The FBI found ammunition at the scene that had anti-ICE messages written on it. FBI director, Kash Patel, shared a photo on Social Media showing a bullet with the words ANTI–ICE written on it with what looks like a marker. Special agent Joe Rothrock said early evidence shows rounds near the suspected shooter contained messages that were against ICE. The FBI is now investigating this shooting as an act of targeted violence against the immigration agency.

Edwin Cardona, a man from Venezuela, who was entering the IC building with his son for an appointment around 6:20 in the morning, heard the gunshot start. An agent gathered people inside the building and took them to a safe area, explaining there was an active shooting nearby. Cardona said he was scared for his family, who were outside, but thankfully, they were brought into the building safely.

Politicians React as Details Still Come Out

Vice President JD Vance posted on social media that these obsessive attacks on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop. Senator Ted Cruise from Texas called for an end to politically motivated violence and told politicians to stop using harsh language against ICE and border protection agents. However, democratic representative Mark Veasey said he was sickened by some officials’ comments and everything might be trying to control the story.

The IC facility is located near Dallas airport, traffic cameras show the normally busy freeway completely empty with cars and trucks stopped at an exit ramp. Dozens of emergency vehicles gathered near the facility. The shooting comes just two weeks after another target killing when conservative leader, Charlie Kirk, was shot and killed by a rifle-wielding shooter on a roof.
