Bybit to Offer Retail Investors Access to SpaceX IPO Through Tokenized Shares
Synopsis
Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit will provide retail investors access to the SpaceX IPO through tokenized shares powered by the xStocks platform. Users can subscribe between June 7 and June 11, with allocations expected before trading begins on June 12. The offering allows investors to buy shares at the IPO price without opening a traditional brokerage account. The move comes amid strong demand for the SpaceX listing, which has reportedly attracted around $150 billion in investor interest. Bybit joins Kraken in using tokenized shares to expand access to one of 2026's biggest IPOs.
Crypto exchange Bybit will enable retail investors to get access to SpaceX IPO at the offering price, expanding the scope of participants beyond traditional brokerage accounts.
Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced that it opened access for retail investors to tokenized IPO shares, starting with the highly anticipated SpaceX listing.
The service will be implemented through xStocks, a tokenization platform run by Payward. Exclusively for Bybit users, they can sign up for tokenized equities of publicly traded companies and without the need to open or maintain a regular brokerage account (and thus access IPO shares).
Registration and subscription for the SpaceX offering will be held from June 7 to June 11, 2026. The share allocations will likely take place between June 11 and June 12, and tokenized SpaceX shares are set to begin trading on Bybit’s spot market on June 12th.
Investors will be able to buy shares at the IPO price on the platform, meaning they miss out on snapping up shares in the secondary market when the stock hits public markets.
The decision follows the interest around Spacex IPO SpaceX, which started its investor roadshow last week, has garnered about $150 billion in investor interest, roughly twice the amount of cash the company hopes to obtain from the offering.
There are several other crypto platforms where you get access to the deal, no surprise that this is not an exclusive one for Bybit. Just this month, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken revealed that it had opened up SpaceX IPO access to clients in over 110 countries via the same Audience-owned xStocks platform.
This launch underscores the ongoing development of tokenization technology, which is increasingly enabling access to established financial products and assets through blockchain based platforms. It also comes as Wall Street anticipates 2026 will be a major year for IPOs, with a longlist of megacap private businesses headed into public markets.
