Palestine

At least 73 Palestinians were killed and more than 150 were injured while trying to get food and supplies in Gaza. It was one of the deadliest days since the war began 21 months ago. The killing happened around the same time Israel issued evacuation orders, making it even harder for people to move around and reach for aid. The tragedy adds to a growing issue, nearly 900 people have died since last May while just trying to collect basic humanitarian aid.

Open Fire Led to Loss of Life In Gaza

In northern Gaza, the situation has become almost unbearable. Food is scarce, and it is nearly impossible to reach there. Many of the deaths happen near distribution points set up by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. Witnesses say Israeli forces open fire without warning as desperate people try to collect food.

Northern areas have been cut off from regular aid since October, and bombing has increased. The healthcare system is falling apart; only 14,000 hospital beds are available, and most of them are already full. Malnutrition is rising very fast among children. Even UN officials have said that famine is present across Gaza. They also accused Israel of using starvation as a weapon, calling it a form of genocidal violence.

Gaza People Forced to Leave Again and Again

In the past few weeks, Israel has ordered a mass evacuation from Central Gaza, especially around Deir al-Balah. This area was known as a safe zone, but now it’s under fire too. Since mid-August, about 250,000 people have been forced to leave again for the 10th time.

Even hospitals haven’t been left. Al-Aqsa hospital had to evacuate staff and patients after a nearby evacuation order. Air group work is now almost impossible. Many people are being pushed into the crowded Al-Mawasi zone, which now has up to 40,000 people per square kilometre.
