The spotlight moment comes on February 6, when the Opening Ceremony takes over San Siro Stadium at 8 PM CET. But the action begins earlier, with competition starting February 4 across 16 sports and 116 events. This edition will also introduce ski mountaineering to the Olympic program for the first time.
Unlike past Games concentrated in a single region, Milano Cortina stretches across a 410-kilometre corridor, from Milan’s urban arenas to the high-altitude slopes of the Dolomites, giving the 2026 Games a distinctly split-city identity.
