Synopsis

PhysicsX has secured $300 million in new funding, pushing its valuation to $2.4 billion as investors increase focus on industrial AI. The company develops engineering software for manufacturers across aerospace, automotive, semiconductor and energy sectors, with expansion plans targeting the United States and Singapore.

AI firm PhysicsX has secured $300 million in a Temasek-led funding round, bringing the UK-based company to a valuation of $2.4 billion, more than double its valuation during its last fundraising round completed less than a year ago.

Founded in 2019 by ex-Formula One engineers Jacomo Corbo and Robin Tuluie, PhysicsX develops AI software used by engineering and manufacturing companies to support product design, testing and development across sectors including aerospace, automotive, defence, semiconductor and energy.

The latest investment comes as demand for bespoke AI tools used by industrial and engineering companies grows, with an increasingly high profile sector being courted by investors as manufacturers turn to AI in non-office and non-consumer-focused sectors.

The new funds will be used to help the UK firm to grow its operations in the United States and establish a greater footprint in Singapore, an Asian manufacturing and semiconductor hub.

PhysicsX has seen significant growth in hiring over the last year, with the company growing from 150 employees a year ago to approximately 350 workers due to increasing demand for its software, with both America and Singapore remaining significant global markets for both industrial and engineering software. Singapore, for instance, continues to work toward becoming a central technology, semiconductor manufacturing and engineering services hub in Asia.

The funding follows the company’s $135 million Series B financing round announced in June 2025, where annual recurring revenues were stated as growing more than four times during the previous two years.

Including the last round of investment, PhysicsX has raised nearly $470 million since launch. The UK firm is part of a growing cohort of European AI firms which are developing technology specifically for industrial purposes, instead of consumer focused products.

AI adoption is continuing to accelerate within manufacturing, according to sector research, with businesses of all kinds investing in technologies that improve engineering processes, speed up product development and allow for greater management of industrial systems.

This latest investment in PhysicsX, where the United States and Australia continue to be large investors in digital technology in sectors like energy, defence and manufacturing infrastructure, signals that there is a growing confidence in industrial AI.
