Synopsis

The stock climbed for a second straight session, putting it within reach of its US$135 IPO price after rebounding from last month's slide and lifting the company's market value to US$327 billion.

SpaceX shares jumped 15.8%, nearing the US$135 IPO price, and the company's market cap is now valued at approximately US$327 billion.

The shares had crashed to about US$105 and were rebounding. The company's stock was trading around US$225 per share, after its initial public offering in June, and then dropped further over the following weeks.

Share Unlock Drives Fresh Trading Activity

The latest jump in the value of the firm was triggered by a combination of roughly 911.5 million restricted stock units that had been granted to employees and early investors and that became unlocked on Monday, the first anniversary of the initial public offering (IPO).

The release of these shares dramatically increased the number of SpaceX shares that could potentially come onto the market. None of the shares mentioned above actually changed ownership.

The highest price tag for the firm’s stock was set at the initial public offering in June, which was at US$135 per share. It is almost close to the peak price per share since its initial public offering, which is about 1.4% below the record price per share.

Chapter two

SpaceX Revenue Reaches US$7.8 Billion

SpaceX revenue for the same period last year was US$7.8 billion in revenues in the second quarter compared with US$4.1 billion, compared to a US$541 million net loss for the quarter. According to the report, the firm’s revenue for 2025 is expected to be US$18.67 billion, compared with US$14.02 billion in 2024.

Of that, about US$11.4 billion is expected to come from satellite connectivity, the firm’s largest source of income.

SpaceX also reported a $15.8 billion investment in property, plant, and equipment in the second quarter, which is needed to fund its massive expansion plans.

The company’s financial performance to date is a barometer for the commercial space industry, as it continues to witness a boom in commercial space activity.

In 2025, BryceTech has already recorded 325 launches worldwide, of which approximately 60% were launched by US-based firms and 51% by SpaceX.

With its recent initial public offering, SpaceX shares offer insight into the commercial viability of space travel, as the firm’s stock performance reflects the broader industry’s trajectory.
