VITG Launches New AI and Cybersecurity Services Across ANZ
Synopsis
VITG managed services have expanded across ANZ with new IT and cybersecurity offerings, following its Security Centric acquisition as Australian information security spending is forecast to reach A$7.555 billion.
VITG has rolled out managed IT operations and 24-hour security monitoring to its growing security arm, with the launch of new AI and cybersecurity services in Australia and New Zealand.
The Australian technology group announced Modern Managed Services (MMS) and Managed Detection & Response (MDR) on September 7. The services are part of VITG's roll-out of cybersecurity, AI and managed technology services in the ANZ market.
VITG Builds Security Business After Acquisition
The VITG cybersecurity growth comes after its acquisition of Sydney-based Security Centric in April 2026. Security Centric's specialties include managed detection and response, security governance, security engineering and technical assurance.
The acquisition helped VITG increase its security practice to approximately 45 cybersecurity specialists. VITG now employs over 400 people in 10 locations in Australia and New Zealand, states the acquisition announcement.
VITG's security portfolio now includes the MMS, a managed service that incorporates governance, security controls and day-to-day IT management. MDR is monitored, investigated and responded to continuously by VITG through its 24-hour ANZ security operations centre.
The company previously expanded its security portfolio with the introduction of Zero Trust services with The Instillery. VITG is working on a dedicated Data & AI Practice and is testing its Momentum framework with customers for it to start being available later this year.
Australian Security Spending Reaches A$7.56 Billion
Australian businesses are also investing more into security in the wake of the VITG AI and cybersecurity rollout.
According to Gartner's Forecast Analysis: Information Security, Worldwide, 2026, information security spending is expected to reach A$7.555 billion in 2026, up from A$6.9 billion in 2025.
Both the security services and security software market are set to reach A$3.72 billion and A$3.336 billion respectively. Australian organisations will also be expected to continue to invest more in Gartner's forecast with the introduction of AI, which brings with it more security needs.
Worldwide, Gartner predicts that information security investments will reach US$244 billion by 2026. India is predicted to spend US$3.435 billion of which US$1.442 billion is allocated for security services.
By 2028, AI-amplified cybersecurity products will be deployed by more than 75% of enterprises in most security use cases, up from less than 25% in 2025, says Gartner.
New products are launched to an expanded security business through acquisitions and Zero Trust services in September for VITG managed services.
