CSL share price average analyst target of $234.08 implies 30% rise from current levels, with UBS forecasting FY26 EPS of $7.13, high-single-digit profit growth via $500M+ cost savings.

Following a prolonged sell-off, attention is now shifting from valuation resets to execution. Analysts increasingly see CSL’s earnings profile stabilising, supported by operational improvements rather than sentiment-driven re-rating alone.

From a fundamental perspective, UBS sees signs of an earnings inflection point emerging. It expects CSL to generate $3.46 billion in net profit in FY26, with margins improving over the following two years. Improved market share among older patients in Europe is helping underpin the outlook, alongside early signs of stabilisation in vaccine demand.

Despite differences in near-term assumptions, analysts broadly agree that CSL’s earnings base is strengthening after a difficult reset year, with improved cost discipline and demand trends underpinning medium-term growth.

01
Chapter one

UBS Bullish on Margin Rebuild

CSL’s earnings outlook is being supported by tighter cost control and more efficient manufacturing. Savings worth hundreds of millions of dollars are expected to help lift FY26 profits by 7-10%, even as the company faces continued pressure in the US.

Looking further ahead, analysts expect profits to keep growing steadily in FY27 and FY28 from a stronger base. A recovery in flu vaccine demand could provide another leg of growth, adding to already resilient demand for CSL’s plasma and vaccine products.

02
Chapter two

Market Sentiment Turning Constructive

Market sentiment around CSL has gradually improved, reflecting growing confidence in execution rather than short-term share price movements. There are currently no sell ratings, and most analysts remain bullish on its recovery.

On TradingView, 13 of 18 analysts rate the stock a strong buy, with price targets pointing to gains of more than 30%. Morgan Stanley and UBS are among the most optimistic, arguing that the shares are still undervalued even after a recent reset, and see meaningful upside over the medium term.

03
Chapter three

Strategic Tailwinds Persist

CSL is sending a clear message to the market. Restructuring moves and share buybacks suggest management is confident in the company’s direction, even after a difficult period.

The recovery is expected to be driven by the core plasma business and growth in nephrology, though the path may not be smooth. Share price volatility could continue in the near term, but for long-term investors, successful execution will matter far more than short-term swings.
