Uber Set to Become Anchor Investor as Lime Targets $1.8B Valuation
Uber will make a formidable investment in the Nasdaq listing of Lime. The company is seeking a valuation of $1.8 billion and raising approximately $200 million, which will go towards repaying debt, operations and future growth efforts.
Electric scooter and bike-sharing company Lime to list ride-hailing giant Uber Technologies as the anchor investor in its forthcoming U.S. initial public offering (IPO).
Uber is likely to make a “substantial investment” in the offering and be listed as an anchor investor in an amended IPO prospectus Lime intended to file Monday, the report said.
Uber to Fund Lime Through First Public Market Entry
San Francisco-based Lime, or Neutron Holdings Inc., has already received backing from Uber and filed its U.S. IPO in May.
Uber will reportedly make a “meaningful” contribution to the round and be given equal footing as an anchor investor on the cover of Lime’s amended prospectus. Uber has pledged to fund a $115 million Lime loan due in September.

Lime said it plans to start negotiating with IPO investors on a roadshow this week. The offering could reportedly raise around $200 million, with Lime valuing itself at about $1.8 billion. It is one of the highly anticipated micromobility IPO 2026 listings as it prepares for a Nasdaq listing.
Proceeds from IPO Will Be Used to Fund Its Operations and Growth
As per Lime's S-1 filing, proceeds from the IPO will go toward operations and paying off all existing debt as well as investing (or acquiring) technology, assets and IP that complement what the company already does.
The company also reported a surge in its annual revenue, according to the IPO prospectus filed in May. Neutron Holdings IPO Lime will also facilitate e-bike and scooter-sharing services across a number of markets, and will pursue its business as a public company.
