Deal Supports US Chip Manufacturing
The deal involves FBAR filters, or radiofrequency chips that Apple utilises for wireless connectivity in its devices. Apple stated that it has been working on these chips with Broadcom since at least 2023.

Apple reported its four-year U.S. investment commitment in August 2025, announcing a US$100 billion hike on top of the US$500 billion previously presented to reach US$600 billion.
This new one cements Apple's long-term partnership with Broadcom while further increasing chip manufacturing capacity in the U.S. through 2031.
