Operational Challenges Are at All-Time Highs Causing a Production Miss

For FY26, Pantoro produced a total of 77,408 ounces of gold, with an additional breakdown showing 18,028 ounces in the June quarter.

The company missed its production guidance from prior to October due to a critical Western Australian labour shortage, which limited operational capacity.

Pantoro has also identified that increased ground pressure and unexpected seismic activity at the OK underground mine these past quarters, combined with reduced operator availability and skilled maintenance technicians availability, resulted in lower short-term ore availability.

Cash Position Benefits From Reduced Output

All of this is despite production woes at the company, which saw it boost cash and gold bullion reserves to $223.4 million (from $175.8 million) while still being debtfree.

FY27 guidance of gold production between 90,000 and 105,000 ounces with an all-in sustaining cost forecast of $2,800/oz to $3,400/oz.
