ClearVue Achieves Triple Certification for Solar Glass Technology
Synopsis
The Perth-based company secured IECEE CB, CE and TÜV MARK certifications, validating the safety, durability and performance of its Gen 3 Vision Glass.
Perth-based ClearVue Technologies (ASX: CPV) has hit another commercial milestone with its solar Gen 3 Vision Glass passing a series of internationally recognised test certifications for product safety, photovoltaic performance and building glass compliance.
The newest approvals are certification under the IECEE CB Scheme, TÜV Rheinland's TÜV MARK program and compliance for European markets under the CE marking program.
The company also announced that its Gen 3 Vision Glass has passed the European standard EN 1279-5 on insulated glass units, through independent testing.
International standards broaden market access
The certifications are widely accepted in Europe and are recognised by manufacturers, regulators and project developers in many overseas markets.
The IECEE CB Scheme offers a route to acceptance of the product in over 50 countries involved, and TÜV Rheinland certification is well recognised as a proof of conformity with international safety and quality requirements.
The certificates are applicable to ClearVue Gen 3 T.P.V. (Transparent Photovoltaic) Glazing, which the company intends to use for power generation as well as to act as a standard architectural glass. The product can be applied to the normal insulated glazing system in commercial buildings.
The company also is moving forward with its listing process with the Clean Energy Council (CEC) in Australia, which is a separate approval process that must be completed before eligible solar products can be eligible for local installation programs, the company said.
Commercial rollout remains the focus
The completion of internationally recognised certification programs eliminates an important technical requirement for customers pondering on commercial projects and manufacturing partnerships, according to Managing Director and Chief Executive Doug Hunt.
ClearVue has been busy working on a number of licensing deals with glass producers in Australia, New Zealand, North America, Singapore and the Middle East as it moves towards wider use of its technology.
Its financial results for the six months to 31 December 2025 improved to a revenue of about A$1.8 million, from A$1.5 million a year earlier, and reduced its net loss to about A$4.3 million from A$5.2 million, according to its latest financial results.
Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) are increasingly becoming more popular as developers look to integrate renewable energy directly into building materials.
The International Energy Agency's PVPS Task 15 project has called out BIPV as a growing technology to enhance the energy performance of buildings by integrating electricity generation into building facades, roofs and glazing systems.
