Farizon Adds F3E Cab Chassis to Australian Electric Vehicle Line-Up
Synopsis
The all-electric commercial vehicle shares its platform with the V7E van and is offered in three configurations to meet a range of business needs.
Farizon F3E price Australia is finalised and will be added to the Geely-owned family of commercial vehicles with battery electric cab chassis targeting businesses needing vehicles for their delivery, service and trade fleet needs.
It is available as cab chassis, factory tray and enclosed cargo box and starts at $48,990 before on-road costs.
This new model will use the same EV platform as Farizon V7E electric van which has recently been released to Australia, offering a ready-to-go solution for businesses, with a slow move from diesel to electric options on the way in the commercial space.
It’s equipped with a CATL 72.8kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and pairs with a rear-mount electric motor providing 110kW and 260Nm and up to 314 km range on a WLTP cycle.
Growing Focus on Fleet Operating Costs
Purchase price is always important but fleets now look at owning the vehicle through the whole life cycle including fuel, maintenance and servicing.
According to IEA’s 2026 Global EV Outlook the battery electric commercial vehicle (BECCV) has less scheduled maintenance as it has fewer moving mechanical parts compared to its ICE counterpart. It offers 100kW-DC rapid charging and 11kW-AC charging and can be specified with the cab chassis configuration with a payload of up to 1,705kg.
Other features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration into the 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 7.0-inch digital cluster and driver assistance technologies.
Commercial EV Market Continues to Expand
The launch comes as the Australian EV industry expands beyond passenger cars. The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) stated that the BEV market increased to 14.9% of new sales in June 2026, while the IEA revealed that the EV market expanded to 20 million vehicles in 2025 and China dominates BECCV sales, followed by Europe and the United States.
Geely Automobile, a sibling company to Farizon, continues to expand and recorded RMB345.2 billion in revenue in 2026, selling 3.02 million vehicles, with the Farizon F3E adding a light-duty fleet battery-electric offering for its clients in Australia.
