Fabulate Raises A$4.5M to Scale AI-Powered Creator Marketing Across APAC
Synopsis
The Australian marketing technology company has raised the capital at an A$84.5 million valuation, with about 90% of the funding coming from existing shareholders as it expands regionally.
Sydney-based creator marketing company Fabulate has completed a fundraising round, raising more than A$4.5 million, valuing the startup at A$84.5m in the process, after the shares were oversubscribed.
Existing shareholders were the main suppliers of capital, with Centerstone Capital and Nightingale Partners each accounting for roughly 90% of the sum, and the sum not representing an external fundraising effort.
Proceeds will go to scaling the business, with the company having already seen international expansion throughout the past two years, venturing into New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, and Japan, in addition to its native Australia.
It is set to serve the Australian & New Zealand market, six countries within Southeast Asia, and two countries within Northeast Asia, and the sums will go into local teams and technology.
The firm was founded in 2019 by Toby Kennett, Ben Gunn, Nathan Powell, and Sachin Singh, and its tech is utilized for the purposes of campaign management, measurement, and discovery.
Fabulate also announced the hiring of Jon Kee as commercial director for Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea, and Gabrielle Lawton as commercial director for New Zealand, for the purposes of regional expansion.
Australian creator spending grows
The amount raised represents excellent timing for the firm, which has noted that investment in social media influencers was rising throughout Australia.
As per January 2026 information provided by the firm itself, the creator database on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube within the scope of Fabulate covers 348.1 million profiles, the figure not representing an industry-wide statistic.
The company saw a rise of 1,105% within its revenues across three years, with it ranking tenth in terms of Technology Fast 50 from Deloitte within Australia for the year 2024.
The expected rise is partly attributed to a rising trend of businesses purchasing creator content, alongside the necessity for them to differentiate such content from organic posts, which is now mandated by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, as well as by the advertising standards watchdog within Australia, which mandates disclosure within the Australian Market for Influencer Marketing.
Fabulate is reporting its profitability, and has noted that it will continue to scale its presence within the APAC region, fueled by its latest investment.
