WiseTech Appoints Jeff Howard as CFO to Lead Next Growth Phase
Synopsis
WiseTech Global has appointed experienced media executive Jeff Howard as its new Chief Financial Officer, with the transition beginning on September 28.
Australian logistics software giant WiseTech Global has appointed former Seven West Media chief executive Jeff Howard as its new chief financial officer, with his appointment taking effect on September 28.
The leadership move comes as WiseTech continues to expand its global logistics technology business following its acquisition of supply chain software company e2open and its growing investment in artificial intelligence across the CargoWise platform.
The company recently reported record FY26 revenue of around A$1.4 billion which underlines the scale of its international operations.
Howard brings extensive executive and financial leadership experience to the role.
Before joining WiseTech, he served as chief financial officer of Seven West Media before becoming managing director and CEO, later leading the combined media group following its merger with Southern Cross Media Group.
Leadership Transition Begins in September
WiseTech said Howard's appointment followed a board-led recruitment process, with the company selecting him to oversee its financial operations during an important period of growth and transformation.
He will replace Caroline Pham who has been serving as interim CFO since October 2024. Pham will remain with WiseTech to support the transition and ensure continuity as Howard takes over the finance function later this month.
Howard said the opportunity to join WiseTech was driven by the company's global ambitions and its expanding technology ecosystem.
"The global scale of CargoWise, the e2open acquisition, the benefits from WiseTech's rapid adoption of AI and the growth opportunities set out in the FY26 results presentation together make this an exciting time to join WiseTech," he said.
AI and CargoWise Shape WiseTech's Strategy
WiseTech has increasingly positioned artificial intelligence as a major driver of future growth, integrating AI tools into software development and logistics operations while expanding the capabilities of CargoWise for freight forwarders and supply chain customers worldwide.
The company has also been integrating e2open into its broader business after completing the acquisition, strengthening its presence across global trade and supply chain technology markets.
Howard's appointment gives WiseTech an experienced finance executive with public-company leadership credentials as it pursues its next phase of international expansion. The company said the transition would be supported by Pham before Howard officially assumes the CFO role on September 28.
With AI adoption accelerating and its global logistics software footprint continuing to expand, WiseTech enters FY27 with a refreshed finance leadership team focused on supporting long-term growth, operational integration and shareholder value.
