Christchurch Returns
Air New Zealand will launch three weekly services between Singapore and Christchurch using its Boeing 787 aircraft.
Combined with Singapore Airlines’ existing Christchurch operations, the two carriers will offer up to 15 weekly flights on the route between November 2026 and February 2027.
Auckland Capacity Boost
Air New Zealand will also add four extra weekly Auckland services and deploy both Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 jets on the route.
Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines will adjust its Singapore-Auckland schedule from three daily flights to two, while increasing aircraft size by using the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER.
Demand Drives Expansion
The expanded alliance comes as airlines outside the Middle East continue rerouting some Asia-Europe services due to disruptions linked to tensions involving Iran.
Carriers have also reported stronger long-haul travel demand across Asia-Pacific and Europe heading into the peak travel season.
The updated network schedule is expected to begin at the end of October, subject to regulatory approval.
