Tune into the podcast to hear Chantelle and Poppy’s inspiring journey and insights behind Northside Nutrition Hub.

Corporate Beginnings and the Call for Change

Chantelle and Poppy’s professional journeys began in traditional settings. Poppy spent 12 to 13 years entrenched in the corporate world, having fallen into her job after completing one year of university. “I thought that the corporate world was it; I thought I’d made it,” she reflects, recalling the allure of a good salary, bonuses, and city life. However, her perspective shifted dramatically when she was introduced to the Northside Nutrition community, which sparked a newfound passion for helping others.

On the other hand, Chantelle dedicated 14 years to her career as an emergency nurse. Straight out of school, she pursued nursing, believing it would be her lifelong vocation. As the first in her family to attend university, she felt immense pride in her achievements. Eventually, she became an educator in the emergency department, training new nurses. However, the birth of her son prompted a crucial reevaluation of her future. “Can I really do this for another 15 years?” she asked herself, yearning for more fulfilment and a greater sense of purpose.
