OpenAI Makes $4.3 Billion in First Half of 2025

OpenAI, the firm behind ChatGPT, generated approximately $4.3 billion in the initial half-year of 2025, equivalent to around 16% more than the amount they received in the entire last year. This was reported by the Information newspaper on Monday after reviewing the money documents the company provided to shareholders. OpenAI expended $2.5 billion during the same months, the majority was to cover examining and constructing artificial intelligence equipment and maintaining ChatGPT operational.
